2 Days Akagera Big Five Wildlife Safari

Experience Rwanda’s only Big Five safari in Akagera National Park, combined with a guided Kigali city tour. This two-day adventure includes game drives, a boat ride on Lake Ihema, and a choice of accommodation options, from budget to luxury. Discover elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos in their natural habitat.

Day 01 :
Kigali – Akagera National Park
  • Pick up from your hotel.
  • 09:00: Guided city tour including visits to the Rwanda Art Museum, Kigali Genocide Memorial, and a local market.
  • Lunch at Sole Luna restaurant.
  • Afternoon: Depart for Akagera National Park.
  • Arrive in time for briefing by the park warden.
  • Short game drive, then transfer to your chosen lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02 :
Akagera National Park – Kigali
  • Early breakfast, proceed to Lake Ihema Jetty.
  • 09:00: 1-hour boat ride to see aquatic bird life, possibly including the Shoebill stork.
  • Rejoin your driver-guide for a full-day game drive with picnic or hot lunch.
  • Exit the park from the North and drive back to Kigali.
  • Arrival: Drop off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
